As a registered delegate you will be given the opportunity to participate in a range of seminars. Courses are designed to give you some of the building blocks of career management. They are not intended to provide one-to-one advice, but will help you develop your career skills and locate further sources of help.

We are currently working to compile a list of courses for the next BMJ Careers Fair in London. Register to attend the event and we will send you an email to offer you first choice of all available courses as soon as the list is confirmed.

Starting a career in sports medicine
Many doctors dream of being able to combine their medical skills with their enthusiasm for sport. In this session a doctor experienced in sports medicine explains what it is all about and the opportunities available.

It provides an overview of the roles available to the pharmaceutical physician, higher medical training, making the transition from NHS to pharma, FAQs including hours, salary and job security, where to find out more, and what organisations to approach.

How to boost your career
This session is aimed at doctors who feel they are stuck in a career rut and want to get moving again. It will also help those who are facing a career crisis or who are unemployed.

Working as a GP locum
This session is designed to help you get the most out of working as a GP on a sessional basis which can offer you many of the satisfactions of working as a GP without the wider pressures and responsibilities.

How to be lucky
Recent research has shown that so-called 'Lucky People' posess certain attributes, behaviours and skills. This has revealed new ways of considering luck. This session will be looking at how these qualities can be imparted to us mere mortals. Participants will be able to choose their own luck by proactively spotting their own issues and learning how to solve them.
